Here at Chapel Fields we value music as an integral part of the curriculum and use every opportunity to enjoy and appreciate music together.
We have weekly whole school singing assemblies and as a school enjoy listening to and appraising all different styles of music.
We use the Charanga scheme – an award winning scheme linked to the new curriculum - for class lessons. It is an interactive scheme and embraces a diverse selection of musical styles and worldwide cultural influences whilst developing musical skills.
Year 4 have class guitar lessons taught by professional music teachers – provided by the music service as part of the wider opportunities scheme.
Individual tuition is available from the music service on request for all year groups – brass, string, woodwind and piano.
Rock band meet every Tuesday after school – provided by the music service.
Please see the office if you are interested in taking lessons or joining Rock band.
